Handeze GlovesHandeze Therapeutic Gloves can provide warmth, support, massage and comfort on one or both hands while playing the cello. There is no fabric interfering with the fingers on the string when playing in thumb position. Gloves are sold as a set and are interchangeable right/left. If you've had RSI, carpal tunnel, or just have cold hands, you'll appreciate Handeze. In the fingerless model the middle and ring finger share one large opening. This item is being discontinued so only the following sizes are available ![]() ![]() $20.00 |
3/4 finger glovesHandeze therapeutic gloves offer warmth and support to wrists and hands. 3/4 fingers keep tips exposed for playing. Some cellists like the warmth on outdoor gigs; others use these to absorb sweat when performing. Requires a "tight" fit to massage the hands, feel like a second skin instead of loose fabric on the hands. Pairs in stock: ![]() ![]() $30.00 |
Handeze Thermal Pack GloveHandeze Plus gloves feature an internal pocket in the wrist compartment for its own hot/cold pack. For heat therapy, the packet is placed in a microwave for 5-10 seconds before sliding it into the glove. For cold therapy, place the packet in the freezer for 15 minutes before sliding it into the glove. The cold pack remains flexible when frozen. 1 glove per package, fits either hand. Available in beige, Medium and Large sizes. ![]() ![]() $35.00 |
Stringvision Bow Grip V.2Stringvision's Bow Grip V2 helps the hand get more comfortable on the bow and protects the stick and frog from wear. This is a revised model, made of a stronger, more pliable tear-resistant material. The bow grip's thumb indent aids thumb placement and may help some students develop a better bow grip. We show a clear model on a 4/4 Coda Diamond NX cello bow but the grip is only available currently in black. Thumb indentation falls right where the thumb would be placed on the bare bow/frog. Works for all size bows: cello, viola and violin. Installation is easier if you dust the inside of the grip with corn starch or talcum powder. Photo coming! $10.00 |
Book - "Playing Less Hurt" by Janet HorvathWe snuck this book in the "comfort" portion of accessories because you might not know to look for it. It's written by a cellist who understands the mechanics of playing and teaching the cello, who's likely to get injured, how and why. Strategies to avoid such problems are followed by rehabilitative options. An important book. $29.95 |

The Tush Cush also features a coccyx cutout which many orthopedists recommend to relieve pressure on the tailbone. Suggested weight range up to 200 pounds. ![]() $45.00 |
Adjustrite kids' cello stoolAdjustrite Cello Stool is a good investment for young, growing cellists. Teachers may want to consider adding one to their studios as well. Telescoping legs adjust independently in 1" increments from 12" to 14". By removing the telescoping inserts entirely, you can get this stool down to 10.75". The seat is padded for comfort, and at 5 pounds it's easily transported though the legs do not fold. ![]() ![]() $49.95 |
Adjustrite Cello ChairThe Adjustrite chair is a new item here and we love it! The legs can be adjusted independently in height from 15 to 20 inches. Back legs can be set higher for those wanting the "wedge" seat. The folding design of the chair makes it much more compact for transport than we expected, with a convenient handle. Hefty at 14.6 pounds, the comfort while playing for hours offsets the hassle of carrying it. Great studio chair to easily adjust for students of all sizes. Large cellists can get as comfortable as petite ones. ![]() $160.00 |
